Let me peek my head around the corner and say hi. Really, I’m about to do more than say hi. I’m about to give you a blog post one more time today. This subject is exciting to me even though I’m not what you would call a true gamer. Yes, this post is about a gaming console that is not PlayStation, XBox, or Nintendo Switch. It’s not! It’s about Atari’s brand new console that is like a remake of the Atari 2600 from back in the 70’s and 80’s. It’s that Atari VCS 800, and it will allow you to put any OS system on it. Gamers and developers that own the Atari VCS 800 will be able to create new games for the system and share them with the Atari VCS’ community of gamers. It has 100+ games, old and new, and it will have better hardware than the Atari 2600, of course it will, it’s 2020. The bundle will come with a power supply, an HDMI cable, one controller and one joystick. If gamers need additional gaming peripherals, they are also available for purchase.

Now, let’s talk about me and this Atari VCS 800 console. I want one so bad even though I’ve never played on an Atari 2600, but I’ve played Asteroids, which was created for Atari platforms first. I was able to play Asteroids on Windows 95 as a child, and it ended up being one of my favorite games to play of all time. And I’ve played Pacman before, but on a different platform as well. If I could cop the Atari VCS 800 device, I don’t think I would try to play it. I would try and flip it, but that’s only if it’s not going to be heavily massed produced like PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. Or if it is, I can hold it for awhile. I just have to have one. I fell in love with it’s sleek look and the carbon gold colored grill you can get on the front of it, which is a colorway exclusively sold at Wal-Mart for right now. The black walnut classic colorway is sold on the Atari VCS website, and the Onyx colorway is sold at GameStop. As I’m writing this, it’s July 2020 so these sites are only doing pre-orders of these consoles, and as of right now they are promised to be delivered before December 24, 2020.

I wish that all the gaming consoles would be set to release in 2021 since year 2020 was horrible due to Covid 19, which has affected many people’s lives in the worse way. We even lost a true legend, Kobe Bryant, right before the pandemic hit. But it seems like video game creators and manufacturers are some of the few companies that are thriving through what is like a horror film of a time. People are forced to stay in more in order to social distance, so video games are one of the go to things to do during lock down, so hey, if these companies can capitalize then why not? Plus it’s the beginning of a new decade so who wouldn’t want to release a hot new product from the start, in 2020?

  2. First of all I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had trouble clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Kudos!|

    1. Hey what’s up? How You been? Glad you like my blog. I’m extremely excited and surprised at the same time, because I thought I wouldn’t get any viewers for awhile until I posted more blog posts, but let me get to your question about clearing your mind to write.. What I do is just surf the web for maybe an hour on topics that I want to write about. Going from site to site generating ideas. Then I try and put the related ideas together.. As you go from site to site, just jot down on a pad products, services, and ideas or interests that you may like, and remember to link your sources as much as possible. I use the ColorNote App to jot down products, services, and ideas. And I use it to copy and paste links in so I can link to them in my blog posts for reference. Also, try and get away from things that may distract you like TV or the radio. Tell your loved ones to give you some quiet time, and put your cell on mute.
